Christmas Eve - 2024

 December 24th~

Christmas at the Cathedral.

The church changed its Christmas Eve service times; the one that worked best for us was a family service. We were sad not to be in the big cathedral area but even more disappointed that we only got glow sticks instead of real candles for 'Silent Night.'  Still, it was an excellent service, and this was the first time Chris and I got to stay the entire time and not have to let one of the kids run around.

And of course we still got our traditional family photos.

After church we headed to Doug and Jody's new house for games and dinner.

Sam with the melting snowman.

The kids got new super soft body pillows for Christmas Eve and Piper was quick to claim one for herself.

Cabin with almost all the Family

 December 21st - 23rd

The McCulloughs, excluding Morgan and Ashley but including Cooper, Nana, Papa, Kristin, and Tim, all headed to the cabin on Friday and had great luck on the ice.

Molly had her in-house gymnastic meet on Friday, so we planned on heading up on Saturday morning. Unfortunately, Chris got sick, and we decided it was best if he stayed home and tried to recover before Christmas.

We didn't go ice fishing, but we enjoyed hanging out with the family, and the kids loved playing in the snow. Chris had initially planned to keep the kids at the cabin through Monday since that marked the beginning of their break. I needed to get home for work, but Nana and Papa were happy to keep the kids there for an extra day. They entertained themselves by burying each other in the snow.
