Attempted Brainwashing

Well yesterday was the first Nebraska State State Cornhusker's game.
Now when Boise State plays, the entire town shuts down, here it is the entire state.
Our neighbors are big fans, and planned a game day celebration that included a turkey dinner and new shirts for Chris and I (I think they missed me saying I was going to wear BSU gear in opposition). I had to head to work soon after kickoff, but they had the game on at the hospital so I could still watch it. I also had the Internet set to KTVB.com, so I could at least see the updated score on the Boise State game. Both teams did very well and won.

Honeymoon in Estes Park

Monday after the wedding, Chris and I headed to Colorado for our honeymoon in Estes Park, Co.

Estes was beautiful and we had a wonderful time. We stayed in a little condo/cabin that had a front porch, kitchenette, extra large Jacuzzi sized tube in front of a large window facing the river, and it was only 5 miles from the Rocky Mountain National Forest. (The picture on the above is right out our front door from our cabin.)
Two of the mornings we got up super early to take a drive to the top of the mountain. The temperature dropped to 44 degrees at the top, but the views and wildlife were amazing. We saw deer, huge herds of elk, big horn sheep, marmot, and thanks to my husband's scouting eye a black bear with her cubs.
We than went out for big breakfasts, and a very long nap, followed by some shopping or hiking, and great dinners. I was even the best wife ever, and let my husband fish on our honeymoon. I tried fly fishing again until a storm chased us out, but I really do just love to watch Chris fish. I think I get just as excited as he does when he catches one.
It was so nice to be in the mountains again, and have time to relax. We were sad to have to come back down to the real world at the end of it all.

Mr & Mrs Sullivan

Well as Chris says, now I am full blooded Irish...doesn't seem to matter all my family is German, I have married an Irish, and now that is what I am.
The wedding was perfect. The fire was contained, and the only part we got from it was amazing sunsets. They had kept a 60% chance of rain, but luckily in Montana it rains for 10 minutes then stops. We had some rain during our pictures, but that stopped by the time the guests arrived for the wedding.
As for the wedding itself, everything went without a problem.
When I saw Chris for the first time that day, I knew without a doubt that this was it. I love him more than I could express in words, and better yet, I know he feels the same for me.
Most people know that my mom's father was a minister and had passed away last year this same weekend. He had had the opportunity to marry all his children and most of his grandchildren. As an honor to him, we had asked the minister we found to marry us, if we could use the vows he had used for everyone else. I did not think Pastor Daub (the one who married us) would mention my Grandpa, but he did and that started the tears for me.
Then one of my best friends from High School, Tanya, sang two songs during the ceremony. During those songs the flood gates opened again. Luckily Chris had put a Kleenex in his pocket before the ceremony, because he had to pull it out for me to use. Our songs were beautiful, and that was the one thing I always knew I wanted at my wedding, Tanya to sing. I am still her biggest fan, and though I hadn't seen her in years, it meant the world to me she was there.
Kerry video taped the wedding and you can see me clenching my jaw, closing my eyes, staring out to the mountains, anything I could do to keep from crying.
Then came the reception. The food was excellent, our cake was beautiful. Tim, Chris' brother and best man, gave a wonderful speech that had everyone laughing. My younger sister and Maid of Honor Kristin, gave a speech that had everyone crying again (including my big sister Lynnea!).
The DJ was perfect and we danced our butts off. At first Ella and Morgan would not leave me alone. I kept trying to sit down and rest a bit, but they were the ones pulling me out to the dance floor to keep dancing. Chris and I and about 20 friends shut the place down with our "fancy" dance moves. Chris' other groomsmen Pat even invented about 8 new dances in the last half hour.
Now all we can say is man do we know how to throw a party. Chris and I keep talking about how we can probably never express our gratitude enough to everyone who offered their help, showed us their support, and celebrated with us on the biggest day of our lives. We are forever indebted to everyone, and are so happy to know we have the best family and friends anyone could hope for.
Following are some pictures we have collected, I am sure more will be posted as more come in.
Love to Everyone from the Sullivans!!!!
