December 20th~
I got super sick and we decided to let Molly stay the night at Grandma's so I could get some good sleep and be able to direct all my focus on me and Sam. However, that night Molly ended up getting sick too. Worse yet, she got a horrible bloody nose. Grandma brought Molly back to us pretty early and we spent the rest of the day cuddling with her...

Grandma and Uncle Timmy
January 25th~
We were very sad to see the end of Uncle Timmy's trip and cannot wait for the next visit. Chris said it had probably been since High School since everyone was together for such a long period of time. We had too much fun to document too much of Uncle Timmy with the kids, but made sure to get a few pictures of everyone before he left....

Ice Fishing and Tamarack
January 15-19th~
The ice fishing was not the greatest this time, but Chris and Tim still enjoyed being out and they were able to bring home a few keepers.
Chris and Tim also headed to Tamarack for some skiing and snowboarding.

The first morning it blizzard on them
However after that they had some pretty awesome views

They were aiming for perch but Chris caught a nice trout (above) and a large sucker fish

The day we tried to go out as a family it started pouring rain when we parked. We hoped it would pass but were not lucky enough. Molly was having fun jumping on the puddles on top of the ice and we had to beg her to get off the ice! (And yes Sam is wrapped up in my chest)
Chris and Tim also headed to Tamarack for some skiing and snowboarding.

We were lucky enough to have Uncle Tim come visit for three weeks! We took advantage of him being in town and headed up to the cabin for an extended weekend. With all the great snow, and getting an additional storm while we were up there everyone took advantage of some great sledding.

Happy Birthday Grandma and Auntie Kristin
January 14th~
Grandma and Auntie Kristin have the same birthday. We had appetizers at our house and then Chris and his family headed out for dinner, and Kristin stayed behind with me and the kids. We ordered pizza and watched a documentary.
And of course there was cake to be had. Sam helped with the cake and Molly with the frosting!

Friend's Dinner
January 7th~
Chris and I were in line to host Friend's Dinner this month. Everyone was able to make it and we had a really good time. Of course it was great to have everyone meet the two newest members of our group, but it was also fun to see the bigger kids interact and play with each other. Pretty soon they will be off upstairs or in the backyard without us!

1 month
January 3rd~
I cannot believe how big Sam is getting! Since he was an NICU baby we had to do a blood draw at one month to make sure everything was still going well….which it is! A doctor’s visit also means a weight check. I had put Sam on the scale with me and knew he was gaining well, but was still surprised when they said 9lbs 15oz. In two weeks he put on almost 2 pounds.
Sam has surprised us with some 5 to 6 hour spans between feeding. Usually it is the first section of the night so he is awake for about a half an hour after he eats, then I have to pump and get ready for bed, so I have not enjoyed the full benefit yet, but it is nice to know he can go that long and we are moving in the right direction. Since I am not a night person I try to make his last feeding around 9/9:30 at night so I can be in bed by 10pm. He then wakes around 2 and then again at 6 am. After the 6 am feeding he is pretty awake and I let that be the start to his mornings. Molly is still going to school so this way I can help Chris get Molly ready and hang out with both of them before they are out the door.

Now the majority of his newborn clothes are packed up and we
are in 0-3 months.
Sam’s eyes have started to focus more and his favorite quite
activity is to watch the ducks on his swing go round and round. Chris has gotten him to smile a few
times, but other than seeing some while he dreams, I have yet to get any
myself.
