End of October

October 31st~

The weather has been nice and when Chris was gone hunting for the day, I loaded the kids up in the bike carrier and took them to two parks.   We were having so much fun we decided to bike home, get some money, and make a trip to the dollar store.  Then we road around the neigbhood looking at all the Halloween decorations.
It was pretty tight in there, but neither kid complained

Molly thought this house was great.  She even said if they were trying to be scary, they were not doing a very good job at it.  I fully disagreed.

Grandma and I took Molly & Sam to the new My Little Pony movie.  This was Sam's first time in the movie theater and lucky for us it was only the four of us!  I felt a little bad having the Ponies be Sam's first movie theater movie, but he was not about to let me take just Molly.
Daddy got a bird!

Molly colored this picture of her and Bryce and it made my heart smile when I saw it.

Andrea's neighbor brought over all these My Little Pony animals and she was kind enough to pass them on to me.  Mile's had also cleaned out his toys and shared a bag full of cars & trucks with Sam.  Needless to say it was like Christmas morning.  Sam spent the entire day saying "Miles gave these to me, he shared, Miles gave these to me."

2017 Deer Hunt

October 26-31st~

Josh Gerads came out for the last week of deer season in 2017. We went into unit 39 with high hopes and camped with Tim, Andy and Dain for 5 days in the wall tents. We hunted hard but the bad winter of 2016-2017 (snowmageddon) had done serious damage to the deer herd. Regardless, we had a great week in the mountains.

Beautiful scenery

Happy Halloween

October 31st~

Sam really likes superheros, especially Batman.  However, I found him this Spider man costume and once he tried it on, he was sold.  I did not think he would wear a mask and went with face paint instead.  He held still for me all of 30 seconds and then I finished as fast as I could!

All Molly wanted to be was a blue butterfly.  I also face painted on her, but she decided I didn't put enough on and added some extra blue while I was working on Sam.

All Molly wanted was wings and her blue star shirt.  As you can tell, she knew she looked amazing.

Sam filled his bucket with our candy before heading out

The girls did not trick-or-treat this year.  Instead they had a bonfire in the driveway to hand out candy.  And of course we had to get a picture of the cousins together.

Molly and Sam were both so cute this year.  After two house Sam figured out the routine.  Once the door was closed, he would yell "lets go to another house."  Molly would then "race you,"  Sam would take off after Molly saying "race ya."  Whatever Molly said, Sam repeated.

I finally convinced them to head back home.  Grandma had stayed behind to hand out candy so they wanted to trick-or-treat at our house too!
Molly and Sam both enjoyed themselves handing out candy.  At one point a kid with a scream mask came to the house and Sam refused to give him candy.  He just stood there saying "tell him to take mask off, tell him to take mask off."  Once Molly gave the boy candy and we closed the door I explained to Sam that it was just a costume.  Sam replied, "I no like scary costume."  It was super cute but luckily we had quite a few more kids in cute costumes come to the door to help Sam forget about the scary mask.
