After Molly's amazing dental visit Nana and Papa took her to the zoo for a celebration. Molly had yet to go with Papa so spent most of the time showing him around to all her favorite attractions.

Mother's Day
May 11th~
Chris' main present for me this Mother's Day was sleeping in. This is quite difficult with Molly who needs to investigate the bedroom if she ever hears I am sleeping, or even if I am gone she still double checks the beds.
Mother's Day always brings the Sawtooth Wine Fest. The weather was not perfect this year, it was a little too windy and too chilly. However, we brought warmer cloths and blankets to comenstate and it turned out to be a nice time.
And of course the wind made for great playing under the blankets!

They always have a band playing and Miles and Molly decided they love dancing. It was a little loud for me but both kids kept asking if they could get closer. I did not partake in too much dancing but enjoy watching the other adults who might have a had a little too much to drink!

Happy Easter
April 20th~
Chris and I decided to host Easter at our house. Molly never fails in waking up early so we did a little Easter egg hunt with her before church. She did an amazing job finding the eggs, but once she found out they were chocolate she was all about unwrapping them instead of finding the rest of the eggs!
After church everyone headed over to our house for Easter lunch. We even had Kerry's niece Emilee and my cousin Darla and Dan over. The weather was perfect and we were able to be outside most of the time.

After everyone left we took Molly over to Lynn's so the nieces could play with Molly and Chris and I could head back to the rental! After the combined weekend of Robie and Easter, I literally collapsed and put myself to bed at 8!

We have been working on different faces with Molly. For the picture I asked her to show me her happy face and instead she showed me her mad face. It makes me laugh every time she does this one so I had to post it!

Race to Robie Creek #5
April 19th~
It is hard to believe this year was my fifth year running Robie Creek...though in many ways it feels like I have done the race many more times than that.
The noon start was again hot with the temperatures hitting the mid 70s before the race was done. I was sweating buckets by mile 2 but once we started climbing in the canyon there was a little cloud coverage and a nice breeze (which is unusual for this race).
I stopped at every aide station trying to stay hydrated. I had also been having knee problems for a few weeks and it was not happy to be on the hills. I walked quite a bit and when I tried to start running again had a little limp for the first minute or two, which made me quite concerned for the downhill!
At Temptation Station I stopped for an Easter peep and then reached the summit at 1:44:12, about 3 minutes slower than my average. I also stopped at the first aide station at the top to see if they could tape my knee. They said they didn't know how and I did not want to risk a bad tape job so I continued on downhill. Luckily my knee felt much better going down then it had going up.

My chip time was 2:26:26.
I think this was my slowest time yet, but I never really felt like I was going to die on the course, so overall I would say it was a sucess.
I finished: 67th in my age group of 188 runners and
1197th out of 2313 runners
At the summit I was placed 1255 so I was at least able to pass some people on the way down!
We did not stay too long at the Robie after party but headed towards Terry's house instead. They have an amazing house on the river. We ordered pizza from Lucky 13, stuffed our faces and were finally able to enjoy the beautiful (if your not running) weather!

Molly's 1st Dentist Appointment
May 13th~
It was time to schedule Molly's first dentist appointment and I decided to take her to my normal dentist instead of a pediatric dentist. My dentist normally schedules a happy baby visit where the kid just watches mom get her teeth cleaned and then she can take a ride on the chair and get familiar with the dentist. I did not think Molly would sit for an hour watching me, or be okay with watching someone put loud instruments into her mom's mouth, so I brought my mom as reinforcement. Turns out that was completely unnecessary.
Nana had plans to take Molly to the zoo after she was done so I asked if she could go first. Molly was quite shy at first and did not want to see any gloves or have the water gun near her. Though she must have decided they weren't too bad because she kept saying "you do it" to me. So I would get water squirted into my mouth and then use the suction. After about the 3rd time, Molly finally let them try it on her. I did not think she would like the suction but she was all over the whole process. She showed them her teeth and tongue, got a mini fluoride treatment and LOVED the water. Even as she was walking out she turned around, walked right back into the room and asked for the water again!
I loved every minute of seeing her at the dentist. I just hope she still feels the same when she gets her full cleaning at 3 years!

Grandma AND Uncle Timmy
April 5th-12th
Grandma's timing could not have been more perfect for Chris and I. We
have been trying to get our rental in selling condition and the work has been
taking longer than expected. It was nice to have Jody around to watch
Molly so Chris and I could go together to work on the house. (It is still a
work in progress)
Uncle Timmy flew in on the 10th and stayed until 13th. Molly was also very excited to see Uncle Timmy. Anytime he left the room Molly would ask "Where Uncle Timmy?" He had to sit next to her at dinner time and I think Molly even convinced him to go down a few slides with her!
Tim was also able to come with me for a beautiful Saturday morning run with the Sloths! We ran the Oregon trail and the views were just gorgeous.
Grandma also came to town for a visit. Molly was so
excited to see her she told everyone at school how her Grandma was coming and then ran
straight into her arms at the airport.
Grandma had Molly all week and they spent most of their time
enjoying the outdoors; playing at the park and taking the babies for walks.
There was also lots of baths and dressing up...Molly likes to make a daddy beard with her bubbles.
