Happy Thanksgiving

November 27th~

After the race there was enough time to get home and shower before heading to Lynn and Kerry's for our Turkey Feast.

The family was wonderful and took care of all the preparations for Chris and I.  Grandma Jody also made sure to make our favorite green bean casserole and fruit salad that we (and by we I mean Chris) is usually responsible for.

I had great intentions of taking lots of pictures and I was again able to use Molly's turkey dress from last year for this year, but there was just too much fun and I did not get the camera out once.

Luckily Dad took a few on his phone so that is the only documentation I have.....

The nieces, with the help of Nana, provided all the Thanksgiving's decorations.

 

Molly has decided her favorite game is horsey, though she is usually laughing too hard to hold on

 

We got home at 6 pm and Molly proceeded to fall asleep on me immediately.  It is quite difficult to find a comfortable sleeping spot on a 9 1/2 month pregnant lady! 

Turkey Day 5K

November 27th~

So lets be honest and say the real reason I signed up for this race was to get the shirt.  They are so soft and I loved the color and design this year.  I had also figured if I was still pregnant, maybe this would be a good way to get baby out!  However, I decided to be smart and waited at the 2.5 mile mark to walk the last 1/2 mile with the family.

Lynn nicely offered to have Molly stay the night on Wednesday and the girls got her ready for the race.  By the time I saw them Molly was fast asleep in her stroller. 

Jody also decided to join in the fun this year and kept me company while I was waiting for everyone.

Big Girl Room

November 22nd~

Chris finished painting Molly's new room the week before and I had her bed all set up, but we had not made the big move yet.  Molly loved playing in her room and taking pretend naps in the bed but every time I asked if she wanted to sleep sleep in the room, she said "no I not 3 yet."  I didn't want to push the issue and would drop it at that.

However, Saturday when Auntie Kristin asked Molly and got the same result, I said Mile's isn't 3 and he sleeps in a big boy bed.  Well that did the trick.  We took a nap in the bed that afternoon and have not looked back.  At night she even says "I sleep in this bed, like Miles, Ella, Morgan, Ashley."  It is crazy to see her out of her crib but she is doing great.

We still need to hang a few pictures on the wall and get some pictures so I will post those later.  I just did not want to forget this date.  A big happy sad day :)

36 weeks

November 9th~

While in Cascade we tried to do a few more maternity pictures with Molly.  It ended up being incredibly windy so getting Molly to cooperate for any amount of time was not happening.  I don't know how many pictures we took, but we at least got a few I like.

Cabin with John and Jody

November 8, 9th~

We decided to head up to the cabin one last time before baby's arrival and Grandma and Grandpa came up with us.  The weather was  still fairly decent, though Molly did find some snow to play in, and her and Grandma spent most of the time on the swings.

Molly had a mild stomach bug when we left and ended up throwing up in Chris' truck on the way there.  It was so sad to see her that upset after it happened but once we calmed her down she asked if she could go to the dentist to get water (she just may end up in the dental field).  Saturday while Molly and Grandma spent most of the day playing, Chris and John headed out to watch the Notre Dame game and I got to relax.

Sunday I caught a little of Molly's bug and spent most of the time in bed before we left.  The sickness for Molly and I were no fun but it was still great to be out of the house and have some extra help!!!

New Car

November 6th~

We finally did it and bought me a new car!  It has been at least a year since we started tossing around the idea of needing something a little bigger that would easily fit two kids and a dog.  Both Chris and I loved the idea of getting a Subaru Outback but have been very happy living without a car payment.

However, with winter and my due date approaching, we decided there was no better time.  When we went to the dealership we were looking for a used car with maybe 50,000-70,000 miles.  Well those do not exist and the one we found was only slightly cheaper than new.  It gave me heart palpitations to even think about a new car, but Chris made a very nice comment to me.  If anyone deserves a new car it is me.  I have had my Toyota for 10 years and it still looks great and we know we will have this car until it becomes Molly's (scary scary thought).

We still went home to do some major searching to see if we could find a used car with a decent price but found nothing.  Chris then went back and signed the paper work.  We signed on Oct 8th(a little pre early bday present for me) but we did not get the car until November.

Molly was super excited to go with us to pick it up and then melted down when we told her she could not ride home it in that day with me!

35 weeks

November 2nd~

I have definitely decided I am ready for this baby to be here.   I am happy I held onto feeling as good as I had for as long as I did, but randomly woke up one week just done.  I gave up running around 32 weeks.  Not because I couldn’t get my mile in, but because I could no longer wake myself up before work to go, and had zero energy by the time I got home.  The fact that work has not slowed down in the least has also not helped with that. 

 

My main countdown now is to my last day of work, November 25^th!  I am also starting to like the idea of my scheduled c-section for the sol fact that I know I will not go late!  Though I am still planning on having this baby sometime Thanksgiving week before my scheduled date, so we shall see if that works in my favor or not.

Other than that I am up every hour, maybe every two if I am lucky to pee.  I have had increased pelvic pressure and my hips have been so sore it has been difficult for me to lift a single leg up to get my pants on in the morning.  I am also still hotter than ever.  My co-workers have been getting a great kick out of my light jacket I wear in in the mornings when it has been 9 degrees outside.  I have quite a few cute long sleeved maternity clothes that I cannot bear to wear even for shorter outings.

 

However, I still love my belly and feeling the baby roll around.  I feel very fortunate and blessed and am trying to cherish every last minute I have growing this little miracle.  I know I could be a lot worse off and feel I overall cannot complain about this pregnancy.  Especially not when I know how wonderful the end product will be.

October 31st~

Face painting was too much fun so we had to have Daddy paint TWO snowflakes for Molly.  She was in heaven and barley let me wash it off that night.

 

I also had Chris do a little artwork for my "witch" costume. Though no one saw it past this picture.

We headed over to the McCullough’s for Tick or Treating.  Molly was so incredibly cute once she figured the routine out.  She started leading her pack of cousins and saying “This house now.”  She would then walk stratight up to the door, knock, and then annonce “I am Elsa.”  I think too many people called her Cinderella so she was making sure everyone knew who she was.  She would then hop all the way down the drive way.

 

We only covered about 4 blocks before we headed back home to hand out our own candy.  Molly would run up to our door so she could see all the trick or treaters.  She would even occasionally hand out a piece of candy from her own pumpkin!

Harvest Party

October 29th~

We headed to church again for their annual Harvest Fest.  Molly had changed her mind an extreme number of times on which Frozen princess she wanted to be.  We originally bought a purple princess dress that she was beyond excited to wear but once she saw her cousin’s old blue Cinderella dress she decided she had to be Elsa first. 

Grandma, Grandpa John, and Auntie Kristin all met us at church.  Molly enjoyed knocking on the doors and filling her pumpkin, however the highlight of the evening was getting her face painted….
