End of July

July 31st~

Sam riding his bike with Daddy to the new dollar store that opened in our subdivision.

I tucked Sam into bed, told him good night and I love you.  10 minutes later, his monitor was quite, but I head some noise in the toy room.  He quietly moved rooms and decided to play instead of sleep.  

Sam decided he wanted to sleep on his floor.  After a few nights, we finally added a pad to his floor.

Molly has really been loving the cats lately and she finally learned to calm down around them so the feeling has become mutual.

  

This kid impresses me so much when it comes to music.  She can strum her ukulele to any beat and is still making up her own songs.

Jackie, our neighbor, gave the kids all the dwarfs from Snow White.  This is how they set things up for movie night.

A trip to Zamzows and we couldn't pull the kids away from the water display.

Sloth BBQ/ Wedding Surprise

July 31st~

We hosted a Sloth BBQ to celebrate Kristin and Tim before their wedding.  I had never intended for the party to be a surprise, but they never asked why we were having one, so I just never told them.

I had fun at work printing out race bibs for a banner and even made them a mock wedding cake, since they chose not to have one at their wedding.  

 The best part are the safety pins connecting the bibs.  I have way too many thanks to races.

    

         

  

 They were even so kind as to oblige me with a cutting of the cake! 

 

Swimming at Grandma's

July 30th~

I was finally able to check out Grandma's pool with the kids...

VBS + Diggers + Camel's Back + Library

July 24-27th~

Molly was excited for another year of Vacation Bible School.  Grandma was kind enough to take & pick up Molly most of the days.  However, on Thursday, the last day, I had off and was able to take Molly myself and then get to spend some one on one time with Sam.  Molly was excited to have me there at the beginning where I got to watch her sing and dance.  However, she did cry a bit when I said it was time for me to go.

Originally I had planned to take Sam to the Zoo, which he was excited about because he wanted to race again.  I told him there was no race today so it was either go look at the animals or maybe we could go to the park.  He chose the park.

Before we left the church parking lot Sam spotted a digger and wanted to watch them work. We walked down the street and sat on the curb for a good half an hour watching them breakup a sidewalk and then dump the pieces into a dump truck.  I also got great video of Sam giving commentary saying "oh, they punch it, punch, it loud, look it mommy!"

We then headed to Camel's Back Park where Sam ran all around, climbed the hill with me, and found some exercise equipment to play on.

  

  

Once we picked Molly up, we headed home for naps and then to the library!!!  It was so nice to have a day off with my babies again.
