Labor Day

September 2nd~

We made it up to the cabin one last time while the weather was still nice.  Chris had another successful time perch fishing and was able to show the girl's how to clean the fish........

Elliot Paisley

September 7th~

Miss Elliot was born on August 29th.  Molly was extremely excited to have her first girl friend arrive.  Once everyone made it home from the hospital we took dinner over to Amber and Zeb's.  Elliot is still so tiny and it is hard to remember 9 months ago when Molly was just as small.  Molly didn't pay the baby too much attention, but I know it will only be a matter of time before her and Elliot are causing all sorts of trouble!

Molly's First Camping Trip

September 8th~
Chris and I finally took Molly on her first camping trip.  We woke up early Saturday morning and headed to the South Fork of the Boise.  Molly stayed awake for the drive down, so the first thing we did was set up her pack n’ play inside the tent and lay her down for a nap.  She went down easily and then the boys headed fishing, while the girls stayed behind to visit and enjoy the gorgeous outdoors!

 After lunch it was time for another nap.  It had gotten quite warm outside, so I had to put the pack n’ play outside in the shade for Molly.  She fell asleep good enough, but I think she heard all the fun she was missing out on, and did not stay asleep as long as this mom would have preferred.  Luckily, her and Miles were very content to play in their pack n’ plays, and that is where they spent most of their time.  Though, we had to keep chasing the shade around to keep them out of the sun. 

With most of the state on fire, there was a fire ban, so that was a little disappointing for our night, but I think most of us where glad to have a reason to hit bed a little early.  Molly slept fairly well that night.  I had her so bundled up in clothes and sleepers and blankets that when she lost her pacifier, she could not roll herself over to find it, so she would let out a little cry until Chris or I found it for her. 

Daddy then got up early the next morning to go fishing right by our camp.  Once Molly and I woke up, we joined him.

Drake was even a nice enough dog to find an extra fly for Chris!

9 months

September 1st ~

9 months brought another well baby visit for Molly.  Her stats were….

• Weight:                        19 lbs 14 oz;     65%
• Height:                         26 1/4 in;          10%
• Head Circumference:    44 1/2 cm;        75%

Molly has become a master of the roll.  She is still not too interested in learning to crawl, but is very capable of getting anywhere she wants.  She gets herself from sitting to lying down, will do a few rolls, get herself on her tummy, raise her head up, look at where she wants to go, spin herself in that direction, and start rolling again. 

Then we end up in all sorts of fun places!

She can also stay standing if she has something to support herself with.  She cannot pull herself up without assistance, but once we help her, she gets so proud of herself she starts to laugh. 

Molly loves to give high fives and while she hasn’t clapped yet herself, if she gets a hold of someone’s hands, she loves to make them clap.   We have also learned how to put the “gumball” balls in the toy machine, and that can keep her entertained for quite awhile. 

 Molly babble talks constantly and has gotten very good at her mama’s and dada’s.  Also the other day when Grandma was bringing her down the stairs, Drake went running by, and both Grandma and I swear we heard her say Drake!

Chris and I have also been working on sign language with Molly.  She will occasional make a sign, but has not really associated them with any real meaning.  However, just the other day she did sign eat at dinner time and then dog when we saw another friend’s dog. 

Feeding is a family affair!

 I am still making Molly's baby food, and she is such a great eater.  However, she did end up with a face rash following some cantaloupe, so we are waiting awhile to try that one again to see if it was a true allergy.  Nana and Papa were also able to make it out this month and met up with me and my running group at Big City for breakfast after a run and before the Saturday Market! 

And as of now we still only have two bottom teeth.  But cute teeth they are!
