The picture is not that great since I was trying to take it quickly, but it was sooooo cute.

Doggie Blanket
Drake has a blanket that we keep in his kennel. He loves his blanket and has been known to drag it around the house from time to time. Today I was washing the dishes and he must have decided he wanted to be by me, but in a more comfortable position than lying on the hard floor. I heard a commotion, and when I turned around to see what he was doing this is what I saw....

Vanity Lakes
Friday, after the boards, Chris and I loaded up his car and headed to the mountains. We had decided to backpack into one of the 13 Vanity Lakes up by Stanley. The total hike was only a little over 1.5 miles, but we gained 1000 feet of elevation during a single 1/2 mile stretch. I seriously thought my chest was going to explode, but we survived.
Drake and before the hike
Hiking
It took a bit, but Drake got the hang of mountainous climbing
The lake and mountains were gorgeous
We set up camp and Chris got right on the fishing to catch us some dinner. Drake loved watching dad fish.
The next morning Chris broke out his float boat and fished all over the lake. Drake and I went to take pictures of dad and to get a little sun. After Chris caught about his 20th fish we decided to head back to camp where we could get into the shade and I could start on some fun reading! Chris caught between 30-40 fish that day and we kept 6 for dinner.
Can you see my hubby?
Drake the morning we left
Ready to head back to town after a great weekend

I PASSED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I just got done with my radiation therapy boards and passed! I have been studying like a mad woman the last few weeks. Weber, to say the least, did not adequately prepare me for the boards so I had to start at square one. That for me meant making 400+ flash cards plus going my textbooks again. I honestly have never felt so uncertain about a test as I did this one. Then I started taking the test and felt even worse. I cannot explain the test at all. The entire time I kept thinking that if I failed I would not have a clue what to even attempt to study the second time around. A lot of the questions where situational examples, like if you noticed this what would you do. And of course ask the doctor is never a choice.
Anyway I am done, as ecstatic as can be, and am now leaving with hubby to go backpacking!
Signing off,
Alyssa RT (R)(CT)(MR)(T) :)

4th of July
Chris and I went back to Montana this year for the 4th of July. My hometown of Laurel is famous for having the largest and best firework display in the entire state (even better than the Boise River Festival). This is the only thing I brag about with my town :). Chris was a tad uncertain about what our fireworks would be like since he grew up in a large city, not a small town....needless to say he now does not doubt me!
On the drive up we went through west Yellowstone and saw a grizzly bear on the side of the road. He was very intent with digging, so we never got a good view of his face, but it was still cool to see. We tried to use our mag lens while driving in the car. Unfortunately the movement made them blurry, but you get the idea.
When we made it home our family friend who is currently working for my dad and living in our little house set up three tepees in our yard. These were a big hit with the girls and dogs.
Friday night was suppose to be my 10 year high school reunion. Instead we had been invited to my high school friend Justin's wedding. It was a beautiful wedding and I was able to see most of my friends there.
