This last week was my first trip back to Boise. I was so excited to be able to go back "home" and see my family and friends that I had not seen in the last four months. However, as all of my trips have gone so far, it was quite jammed pack, and way too short. So here was my week itinerary.
Thursday: Got off work at 6am. Slept some. Went to camera store with Chris to buy wedding gift to each other. Left for Wyoming at 3pm. Stayed overnight in Laramie.
Friday: Thanks to more insomnia, left at 3:30 am for Boise. got into Boise around 2pm. Went to swim lessons with my nieces. Met the scraping girls at the movies to watch Sex and the City (very good) and then hung out and talked til about midnight.
Saturday: Woke up early to go running with Kerry. The elevation, hills and Kerry all tried to killed me, but I loved it. I then had a hair appointment for a trim. Lynn had been there a week before and nicely asked if they could also do my hair a little special since my shower was that afternoon.
My bridal shower was then at 1. Lynn did such a great job with it. She rented out the clubhouse in the Tuscany sub-division. The place was wonderful. There was a fairly good turn out and everyone just sat around conversing and eating wonderful food. At the end Sally and I sat out by the pool for about hour catching up on lost time.
That night I then went out to dinner with Charity, Megan, & Karianne.

Sunday: Went to church. Babysat the nieces while Lynn and Kerry went out to a movie for Father's Day.
Bryna, Amber, and Kelly were out of town for my shower, so we met for dinner that night. I was glad to be able to get some time with them also. I was sad dinner didn't last longer then it did, but when I got back to Lynn and Kerry's everyone was making s'mores over the new fire pit Kerry got as a gift. Ella even gave me a lesson on how to turn the marshmallow in the fire so it gets cooks evenly.
Monday: Loaded up the girls for daycare. Stopped by work to say hi to everyone, and ended up staying for like two hours (I really miss everyone there). Did some errands and birthday shopping for Chris. Drove by the house to make sure it was still standing. Picked the girls up from daycare and took them to Pastry Perfections for a treat. Note to anyone with little kids...it is just as bad taking them in there as Toy's R Us. Went to swim lessons with the nieces again, then Candice came over after work so we could hang out a bit more.
Tuesday: Took the kids swimming in Tuscany. Left for Logan around 1:30. Got to Charity's in time for dinner, and then we hung out and talked each other ears off until midnight.
Wednesday: Got up to leave for Nebraska by 6am. Got home, ate, and went to bed.
And now tonight... I get to start my week of 7 days on with work.
I was very happy to be back in Boise, but surprised it also made me a little sad. I really don't have any friends in Kearney, and with my schedule right now with work and trips, don't have the opportunity to make any. That with having the foothills and no humidity, and not having to watch the weather channel everyday...I really think Boise is the best place to live.
Anna's shower is next month and I can't wait to go back, especially since this time I am flying and not doing the 15 hour (one-way) drive.
Oh and today Chris and I got our first wedding gift in the mail from two of my dad's cousins! I was kind of excited by that:)
