Christmas in Cascade

December 25-27th~

We took off after brunch and headed to the cabin. This year has been the best for snow since getting the cabin.

We had quite the surprise when we got to the cabin and realized one of our huge trees had fallen over under the weight of the snow. Chris had to break out the hand saw to clear our sledding path.

The next morning Chris headed out ice fishing but only caught a couple fish so we decided not to meet up with him.

Nana and Papa headed up that same day with the nieces and all the girls ran around outside building forts, swimming pools, butt slides, benches and chairs.

  

  

Then it was time for sledding.  Even Sam got in on the fun!

  

  

After the hard walk uphill, Molly was able to catch a ride with Morgan.

Then some indoor fun....

Merry Christmas!

Nana and Papa came over to our house bright and early to watch the kids open their presents. Molly was pretty excited about Santa coming to her house but originally didn’t know what to make of the train table he got for her and Sam. However, she did LOVE the makeup set he put in her stocking! Sam kept grabbing toys out of his toy bucket, but that was fine by Molly since she could then open his gifts too.

Then we decided we liked the table

All I could get Molly to tell me she wanted for Christmas was an Anna doll to match the Elsa doll we got her for her birthday. We saved that very last for Molly and then she said “I need Kristoff too.” Luckily that was what Nana and Papa got Molly, against my protests!

After gifts we headed to Lynn’s and had a wonderful breakfast and more gift opening.
