A much needed week off.

So this past 7 days is the first time in 15 weeks that I have not been working or traveling for a weekend. It was so nice for Chris and I to get to spend some much needed time together before the wedding. We went fishing (well I tanned while he fished), saw The Dark Night (amazing), went out to dinner, made it to church, took a couple of naps....it was perfect. Though I do have to say I started to get antsy toward the end. It will be interesting to see how this winter goes when I am home with 7 days off, and it is too cold to go outside.
Other than that wedding plans are coming along. Chris and I leave in 6 days and will be married in 10!!!
Right now our biggest concern is a 6500 acre fire that is only about 7 miles from Red Lodge. On day 3 they had it 5% contained, and we are hoping for the best. It would take a lot for it to hit our wedding location, but they still have evacuation plans set in Red Lodge just in case.
Worse case is getting married at my parents farm. Right now we are just focusing on the fact that no matter what we will be getting married on the 9th. And as I said, as of now we don't have too much to worry about...but you know me....always a worrier.

Back to Boise

So last weekend I headed back to Boise for Anna's Bridal Shower.

Again it was a very filled weekend. Friday all the girls (my nieces) ditched school so their self-proclaimed favorite aunt (me) could take them to the zoo. At first I was a little apprehensive of taking them by myself, but they did soooo good. We had one problem with Morgan when she didn't want to leave the tiger, and then one with Ella when she had wanted a big frog stuff animal. And even those were minimal, and Ashley was pretty happy go lucky the entire time.
Saturday morning I got up and ran the Fit for Life 5K with Lynnea. It was a lot of fun to run beside Lynn and she did amazing. Then it was off to Anna's shower. Jane and Kelly did a wonderful job throwing her party, and she had a great turnout. That night I went over to Anna's and we just hung out, had lots of wedding talk, and I even helped her take her 3 boys (a Lab, English Bulldog, and Doberman) on a walk. I am not quite sure how she ever manages that on her own!
Sunday I had my nieces again, and then meet with Amber and Bryna for some much loved sushi.

Monday I did some honeymoon shopping at Sports Authority and got hiking shorts, then dinner with Megan at Carrabbas (another favorite).

I always love being back in Boise, but unfortunately I ended up getting sick at the end of the trip. I figure it is better this way though, and maybe I wont get sick during the wedding.

Happy Birthday Baby

Yesterday was Chris' 27th birthday.

The night before Chris had to do all his sample work, which basically means he works 20 hours straight. Since he put so much time in the day before, he only had about an hour of work to do on his birthday. It was also still one of my days off, so we were able to finally spend some time together, just the two of us.

We went out to lunch, watched a movie, then went to dinner/drinks/keno with some of Chris' friends. When we got back I made some chocolate fondue for dessert (Thanks Anna for the shower gift...it is wonderful!!!) I also made brownies to dip in...that is suppose to be a heart on the top.
