Chris and I finally decided it was time to start looking for a puppy to add to the family. We had been searching every site we could think of to see if we could find an opportunity too great to pass up. Well last weekend was a Weber weekend and Chris was coming with me to hang out with my high school friend Annie, and to finally meet her husband. This prompted Chris to look up their newspaper online and check out the classifieds. That is where we found five month old Drake (formally known as Remi). Drake's previous parents bought him to be a hunting dog, but the dad got a new job and no longer had the time he knew it would take to adequately raise a German shorthair pointer. That is where we came in! We saw him right after I got done with class on Thursday and adopted him immediately. He had been raised with another puppy and two small children, is already kennel trained and can follow the basic commands. Having a puppy in the house is a big change, but so far we have loved it. As he is getting more comfortable with us, his puppiness is showing. This has been challenging, but we are very happy he is not as timid as when we first meet him. I actually think he bounded to us that first day. When I came home from class on Friday he was jumping all over me like he had just been waiting for mom to come home. Then later that night he fell asleep in my lap.

Whoohoo
Trying to fly away.
I love his ears!!!
And fnally a tired dog!
