Molly

November 2014- June 2015

Molly is such a fun loving little girl and full of personality.

She LOVES to pick out her own cloths and is currently back into wearing dresses most of the time, “with tights.”  She says she loves her dresses because they make her beautiful.  I try to tell her she is beautiful without the dresses, but she says “oh, no” it is the dress.  Along with that, she demands her hair to be done every morning, and thanks to Frozen, it almost always has to be in a braid.  She either wants an Anna braid (2 braids), an Elsa braid (1), or a fancy braid (french braid).

Once she gets all ready she just gets this look of bashful smugness as she walks to me or daddy to show us her outfit.  She also then likes to dance and sing in front of my long mirror.  Half of the time she makes up her own song about what she has been doing, or will be doing that day.
She still loves her brother but is getting a little more aggressive with him. She is now trying to pick him up, squeeze his neck tight for hugs, and help him roll over.  Sam doesn’t seem to mind, but it makes us nervous so we make sure they are never alone together.  Sam still follows Molly with his eyes constantly.  Her favorite thing is to make him laugh and usually says “laugh at this Sam, laugh at this.”  I still have to work pretty hard to get a giggle out of Sam, but all Molly has to do is look is way and he can go into a fit.

Even though Molly is crazy about Sam, I think she is a little sad she does not have a sister.  I think this because Molly has had an imaginary sister ever since Sam was born.  Sometimes she even tells us she has 100 of them, and then proceeds to give us a long list of their names.  Her main one is Sana.  At first she would just tell us what her sister likes or dislikes, but she has started to evolve and now will occasionally talk to Sana or have us move her so she doesn't sit on Sana.  Molly also calls her favorite baby doll Sana, so it can get confusing on who or what she is talking about.

Molly is a social butterfly and a planner.  Every night she asks what the next day is, where are we going and who is coming over.  If Chris and I ever let the word errand slip out of our mouths, you would think we mentioned Disney Land for how excited she gets and then begs us to go with.

Molly is also always on the move.  She loves to dance, jump off the fireplace, tumble over the couches and do headstands.  She has also taken to harassing Drake a little more and enjoys giving him hugs and trying to get rides from him in return.

Molly loves numbers and thanks to drive time with daddy, she can now count to one hundred.  The other day she wanted some candy and I told her she could have one piece.  She replied "one M&M, and one chocolate?"

She is definitely pushing the boundaries with us, and it does not help she argues her points well.  She also becomes sassy when she is defiant and that makes it hard to keep a straight face when we are trying to get her into timeout.

She is a little more difficult to get into bed these days as well.  We pretty much have her bedtime routine down, but she will still find something to call us back up to her room.  As with dressing herself for the day, she loves to sleep in her princess dresses, with socks.  Though the socks cannot match.  However, she refuses to wear socks with her shoes or cowboy boots.  It grosses me out just to think about, but it is not an argument I feel is worth having.

Molly keeps us on our toes, but what a joy she is.

Molly loves the library and story time.  The How Do Dinosaurs books are one of her favorites and she can recite almost all of them verbatim

Dec

Molly still loves the dentist and doctor.  At least every few weeks she tells me her tummy hurts and she needs to see her "kid doctor"

This is one of her favorite non princess outfits we have at the moment

She made us this hamburger out of her play dough.
I came to watch Molly's dance class one day and she was so excited to show me this new trick.  Apparently she does a lot of head stands at school.

This is a selfie she took on Nana's phone so she could see her gum

She still loves the water.  She even made me put on her water shoes and gobbles....
Molly tied the cat around her waist so she could carry her around without hands like I do with Sam.

She still loves to go on runs with me. This day I took her for over an hour.  When Auntie Kristin asked how she liked it, she said it was a little long and her baby cried about that, but Molly decided not to say anything because she likes having breakfast with my friends (the Sloths!).

Not even sure how this one happened, but daddy mentioned something about standing on the couch..

Molly came with me to look for new glasses and very much wanted this pair for herself.

Father's Day

 June 21st~

Happy Father's Day, courtesy of Grandma!

Picking Up Molly

June 18th-21st~

Kristin, Sam and I left to pick Molly up Thursday after work and got in Friday afternoon.  Molly was pretty excited to see me when I got out of the car, and then kissed Sam ALL over, before running off to play some more!  We left Sunday and I basically had to bribe her to come home with me.

Auntie Kristin had not seen Shoshone Falls before so we decided to stop on our way to the hotel.  Sam was enthralled with the Falls and we had a hard time getting him to look away from them.  Hence the picture of Auntie Kristin having to turn around.

Sam did great in the car but was still a little worn out!

Then we had to introduce Sam to the horses.

On the Farm

June 13th-21st~

Nana did a good job sending me photos of all the fun Molly was having, which was good, since every time we tried to SKPE with Molly, she was too busy to sit still and talk to us.  However at the end of our talks, she would give huggies and kissees to the ipad.  It was pretty cute.

Wildlife..

Papa was in heaven with all his girls

I think the girls being there was definitely helpful.

All the girls took turns leading everyone.  Though I am not sure how I feel about the picture of Ashley trying to get Augie to move.

Poor Chester also got a make-over (and yes Chester is a boy).

Molly always asks to go to Nana's Zoo while in Montana too.
Apparently these are everywhere, but Molly always cracks me up.

Then Mexican for dinner.

Molly saw me looking at this picture and said "I wanted to play that guitar"
