Our Pets 2013
2013~
Even with Molly we cannot forget about our first babies.
Maggie has decided she is desperate enough for attention she will allow Molly to pet her and sometimes even stays put when Molly is screaming in delight for getting a kitty. Maggie also loves to crawl under the covers with us at night (a new thing) and really just likes to get under anything she can.
Drake is still such a great dog and I cannot imagine having Molly without also having her best friend, Drake. Now in the mornings after giving Drake his treat she will also give him a hug around his neck and a little kiss on his nose.

Lily stays pretty well hidden if I am not around, but her and Maggie do like Drake's bed.

You can be sure to find the entire household in the office if the fireplace is on. It gets so warm and heavenly in there...notice Maggie is on the chair.

Our Garden 2013
Summer 2013~
So I know this is not really in chronological order (and we all know how much I LOVE chronological order) but I am getting around to ending 2013 and since this covered many months, I figured now is a good time to post about it.
Chris really out did himself on the garden this year. We had a big variety in small amounts. After all the good food we got this year and seeing how much Molly loved being out in the garden with us, we decided we are going to double the size for next year!
Molly first fell in love with our snap peas and would open the pods and pluck out the peas and just laugh and laugh while eating them. She was brave and tried a radish but did not love those. Next she learned how tasty our tomatoes were and then there was no keeping her out of those.

Not a garden picture, but I got Chris a fire pit this year and the first thing he did was to burn up the dead trees we had in the back yard!

Nana was also kind enough to help save our beets that we did not quite get around to picking and pickled all of them for us. Molly just had to try one out of my salad and decided they were pretty wonderful too. Now I use them as an incentive to eat a good dinner and she eats them like they are a dessert!
Cascade
January 17th-19th~
We invited our neighbors up to the Cabin for a weekend of sledding and ice fishing. Chris and Blaine had known each other for quite awhile through work before we discovered they moved only a few houses down from us. We had all hung out as a family before but I was excited for the opportunity for Molly to get more comfortable with their boys and for me to get to know Nickie a little better.
Molly kept calling all the boys "the big kids" and chased them all over the cabin. Luckily the boys are super good kids and did great with Molly.
The ice fishing was quite cold and not very productive but all the boys were able to pull in a fish.

Ice Fishing
December 27-31st~
It is that time of year again...ICE FISHING. Chris headed out first thing Saturday to Cascade Lake. Chris was barely able to keep track of his lines with all the fish he was catching, but unfortantely most of the fish were small and not keepers. After breakfast, Dad and I joined Chris and watched him catch some fish, but we did not have licenses and did not catch any ourselves.
Sunday everyone minus me, Mom, and Molly headed out with Uncle Chris to a new spot to catch trout. The girls had a blast and most of them lasted three plus hours. Ella, our outdoors's girl, stayed until the bitter end.

We were getting text pictures of all of Kerry's big fish and asked to see Chris'....

Molly really enjoyed the Cheetos!
Chris got Kerry all excited about the fishing so the two headed out again early Sunday morning for some perch.

Chris said Sunday was the best ice fishing he has ever experienced. Kerry also thoroughly enjoyed himself and right when he got home bought himself an auger and ice fishing gear!
