Methodist Sawtooth Camp - Molly

July 11th - 17th~

Molly was finally old enough to attend the Methodist Sawtooth Camp that her cousins have been going to for years. I kept asking if she was okay staying a whole week while not knowing a single person there.  She assured me it was fine and this would give her the opportunity to make more friends than if she knew someone and just stuck with them.

The cousins had been telling Molly about camp all summer so she at least knew what to expect.

Chris and I drive Molly to camp.  It was a lengthy drive and we stopped a few times on the way.

Molly outside two camp signs we saw.

She was assigned to the Lupine cabin.

We sent Molly with a camera but she ended up only using it on the hike.  She said the hike was the worst part of the trip.  It sounds like it was a 6 mile hike that took them 4 hours.  Molly wore a short pair of socks with new hiking boots and ended up with a blister on the back of her heel.

Camp also posted a video from the week Molly was there and I screenshot some of them.

Molly said one of the best times was pushing the counselors in the kiddie pool.

One night they went to another camp to sleep under the stars.

Molly said she felt like she was going to cry when we first left her but was doing better by that night.  Papa and I drove up to pick her up and when she saw me, ran in the other direction.  Needless to say she is already anticipating camp next year.

A letter Molly sent us.
